MADRID SEVILLA » JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA CADIZ

Feria de los Caballos

Spectacular lights brighten the nightly festivities during the famous Jerez Horse Fair "Feria de los Caballos" and held in May of each year.

A special type of bullfighting, "Rejoneo", is executed from a horse specifically trained for this style of "tauromagica".

Jerez de la Frontera is most famous for its many sherry manufacturing warehouses or "bodegas".  Visits to the bodegas are available to those interested in learning about the production of the numerous types of sherry or "jerez" in this region of Spain.

A visit to the Royal Spanish Equestrian School  and Equestrian Museum is a must when in Jerez de la Frontera.

Mercedes Ruiz, native of Jerez de la Frontera, now an internationally acclaimed flamenco dancer.
