After spending a year living in central Mexico with her husband and two daughters, painter Dottie Oatman enjoys sharing her love of this rich Latin culture through her color saturated watercolor paintings. Her paintings come alive with freshness, sing with color, and exude a sense of wonder and delight with the surrounding world, whether it be still-life, landscape or story-life, many paintings also inspired by Latin literature and her love of flamenco dance. In addition to painting and exhibiting her work, Dottie teaches painting classes, practices art therapy, and runs art groups for Mexican immigrant families living in public housing in Boulder, Colorado. All giclee prints are printed using archival inks on textured 100% cotton rag paper (150 200 archival rating), very similar to the watercolor paper on which the original image was painted. All prints are created from original Dottie Oatman watercolor paintings, are printed in limited editions, and are signed and numbered by the artist.
